Finished CAD

We recently finished the CAD drawings for the seat and CeeLite. The CAD provides a clear image of where the light will be placed on the seat.

Week 8 Progress

The lab period of week eight was dedicated to compiling and writing the final report. We also completed the ProEngineer drawings of our product. We ran into complications with the dimensions and coloring of the eat/panel, but we figured it out. This next week will be dedicated to the wiring diagrams and finishing up the final report.

We just finished the C.A.D. Model for the car seat of which we are planning to attach the CeeLite. Screenshots are shown below.

Week 7 - Continued research

Today we completed most of our research and experimentation with the CeeLite products. From that research we determined that we can directly wire the power source of the CeeLite to a car battery, and decided which brightness level to use in the final product.

Week 6 - Continuation of CAD

Today we began to model one of the light panels on the back of a car seat, which is one of the main ideas we came up with. This is the system that will provide light for the back seat passengers of the car. Although we are constructing the back seat design right now, the light source can be installed anywhere in the car. Also, we began to converse about the final report and the aspects that have to be included in our presentation.

Week 5 - CAD drawings

Today during lab we solidified the rest of our project schedule, and how we were going to go about completing our deliverables. We decided that we were going to create CAD(Computer Automated Design) drawings of what our finished product would look like, and a diagram of our projected wiring schematic. These drawings would help visually aid the audience of our report and presentation letting them know what our design would be if we were able to execute it.
